A Survey on Various Resource Allocation Policies in Cloud Computing Environment
Abstract — Cloud Computing is a separating application from physical hardware. It allows a services like the provisioning of services in a timely manner, on-demand manner and also allow the resources ups and down based on user need. So Companies can charge resources from cloud for storage and other computational purposes so that their infrastructure cost can be reduced based on pay-as-you-go form. Hence there is no need for getting licenses for individual products. Disadvantages in cloud computing is to optimizing the resources being allocated. Because of the individuality of the model, resource allocation is undergone with the objective of minimize the costs connected with it. The other challenges of resource allocation are meeting customer requirement and application supplies. In this paper, various resource allocation methods are discussed.
