Performance Comparison of Table Driven Routing Protocols based on the Effects of Scalability and Mobility
Abstract- In this paper we are going to analyse the performance of Table-Driven routing protocols such as Bellman-Ford and OSPF, by varying the Scalability and Mobility. The scalability of the routing protocols is identified by varying the number of nodes in increasing order. The mobility of the routing protocols is analysed by either increasing or decreasing the pause time from the default value. In our paper we have created the scalability scenarios with 10, 20, 30 and 40 nodes. Mobility scenario is created with pause time[2] 10s, 20s, 40s and 50s (default 30s). We have simulated and compared the performance of our scenarios in Qualnet 5.0.2 network simulator and analysed the performance metrics Throughput, Average Jitter, End to End Delay and Total Packet Received.
